Let me tell you about......our McHone 12-13-14 party!

On 12/13/14 the McHone "clan" gathered in Augusta, Kansas at the home of my in-laws for our holiday party this year.  My mother in-law did an outstanding job of decorating her house for the family invasion.  My job was to bring lots of stuff from Colorado to Kansas, haha.  I sure did do that!

We arrived two days prior to the party so that I could get set up and organized (anybody who knows me realizes this is just how I roll). I also wanted to shop for food with my mother in-law and we accomplished that task the day before the party.  We were expecting close to 30 people so we tried to prepare accordingly.

 The kitchen starting to take on the look of a party!  I had a lot of fun doing all of this with my mother in-law Ava.  I was never able to do something fun like this with my own mother as an adult and it was very special to me.

Party guests started to arrive at around noon on 12/13/14 and in no time the house was full of four kids, two daughter in-laws and one son in-law, three grandkids, two aunts, one uncle, two sisters and one brother in-law (husbands), two of his sisters kids, one of their girlfriends and three of her grandkids, one cousin and her husband and daughter, plus me, husband, mother in-law and father in-law.  Phew!!! That was the most people I have ever seen in their house. I counted 29 people but if I missed anyone my apologies!

 

 


 

 

 
  

I am not going to caption these photos but as you can see we had a fabulous time!  Thank you all for humoring me on this interestingly numbered day. I am a self-confessed "numbers geek", always have been.  Numbers fascinate me and my life seems to revolve around them.  Early this year I decided to try to gather our families and have our Christmas on 12-13-14, this date really stuck in my mind as it is the last of its kind that we will see in my lifetime.

There will never be any combination like these in our time.  Happy New Year, I sincerely hope that 2015 is a year of fun, family, good health, and appropriate prosperity for all.
